Dot TK Ambassador Coupon Number 16924

I’m a Dot TK ambassador. It means I am helping Dot TK (www.dot.tk) to have one million users. Dot TK is a joint venture of the Government of Tokelau and its partners. Tokelau is a small island, consisting of three atolls, in the Pacific Ocean and is inhabited by less then 1500 people.

Because of its isolation and lack of industry, it is a very poor nation. If it is to ever become self-sufficient, Tokelau needs advanced communications, education and medical care. The Tokelau government and its partners, through the Tokelau Internet Project, gives away free domain names to introduce the beautiful island of Tokelau to a global audience, broaden the exposure of Dot TK domains and ultimately help them achieve the goals of the Tokelau Internet Project, which is to bring advanced comunications to the island and usher its development.

Bisikleta’t Atenista

Ngayong araw, nalathala ito sa CyberDyaryo:

Ateneo Student Council promotes ?bike culture? on Katipunan campus

“Smoking will be prohibited in the Loyola Schools except in designated smokers’ pocket gardens starting Wednesday, October 1, 2003.” This warning greets everyone who enters the Ateneo de Manila University campus in Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City. Ateneo’s restricted smoking policy is only one part of the university’s commitment to the ongoing multi-sectoral campaign for clean air in Metro Manila. From September 15 to October 15, the university test ran the Ateneo Shuttle Service to encourage students to use public transportation rather than private vehicles?and help reduce air pollution. And another effort for clean air?this time initiated by the students?is in the works. (more…)

Pansamantalang URL

Plugs

The National Shock Jock
Siege, who describes himself as “a frustrated pop star, frustrated soap opera star, and frustrated Nobel Prize awardee for popularity” has
a new blog called Siege, The National Shock Jock: Your Daily Dose of Abusive Behavior. He posts animated pictures of himself doing the otso-otso dance as well as his mug shots alongside that of Jerry Yan’s; writes about imaginary encounters with Kris Aquino; argues that Mr. Suave is a Christian song, Sexbomb’s Spageti Song is Satanic, and Marcos crony and cocolevy fund klepto Danding Cojuangco would make a good president. You may not always agree with him but you’d surely be entertained by his often creative posts.

Rebelpixel Productions
My favorite webmaster, Markku Seguerra–whose well-designed pages prompted me to send him a fan mail in the late 90s–recently launched his new domain, rebelpixel.com. As always, his pages are clean and elegant. He writes about Web design, photography, PHP development, sports, and other things that interest him. There are also bits of personal entires now and then. Expect to see him in the webbies next year.

Visionary 3.0
Peyups.com columnist and Tinig.com writer Lagsh recently launched his site’s new layout. The new theme looks cleaner and less cluttered, he says. The content, however, is still as funny and witty as always. See the weird pics of himself and his friends–the output of Lagsh’s playing with his photo editor. Among the recent topics in his blog are his high grades, why GMA-7 is better than ABS-CBN, and of course, ang walang kamatayang Friendster.

Black and White Dreams
Handyfemme, ang Prinsesa ng Tinig.com, who is now in Canada, is back to blogging. Despite her distance, her heart remains here as she continues to discuss Philippine issues and constantly mentions how she misses UP. She writes about Friendster encounters, too! Visit her to relieve her homesickness.
