Due to a mere curiosity, i made a research about the man behind my childhood hero, “Shaider”. It glanced in my memory that Alexis, then, was partially bald. So, what came into my mind is that he’s definitely old now. I’d thought that he’s Grandpa now. Unfortunately, just a couple of days from now, i found out that he already passed away (how sad!!!). He’s actualy younger than what i’ve thought. Noone can replace SHAIDER as my childhood hero, he became part of my daily routine during my early years. ..

haysss….. 26 na ako ngayon pero gusto ko parin manood ng mga ganyang series. Naalala ko nung 13 palang ako nun nung pinapalabas pa yan sa channel 13 pa (naabutan niyo ba yun?) pagkatapos niyan eh mask man tapos nun machine man….yun ay pag sabado… pag linggo naman eh shader muna tapos bioman tapos mask rider black na…nakakamiss talaga yung mga movie na yan…favorite ko yung laging inuutusan ni phuma lear si Ida na buksan anf time space warp…

yup. i miss shaider too. long before i saw this blog entry, nagbakasyon ako sa shinju-ku nung november 2006. naka-inuman ko pa sa hotel lobby ang off-duty na manager. aliw sya sa pagka-shaider fan at super sentai fan ko (i was wearing gao red’s gao jacket; pinasadya ko sa camp crame). kay suuhichi (that’s his name; the hotel manager) na matagal nang wala si dai/hiroshi. ayun, iyak-iyak-iyak ako habang tumatagay/kamapi kami.

yes, zaido sucks. walang binatbat ito sa orig shaider na 1984 pa ginawa. kahit panuorin k ang dvd ko ng jap version ng sahider, the suits and costumes still look WOW. iba talaga ang foresight at vision ng japan production team ng toei at toku.

totoong bumagsak sa pagka-”soft porn” si annie or si naomi morinaga, sabi sa akin ni sir suuhichi. hindi naman kasi kagaya rito sa pinas na mayroon palaging mapaglalagyan ang mga artista. iba sa japan. sikat ka ngayon, baka bukas hindi na… at malamng hindi na talaga.

for the record: sahider ang UNANG toku/toei show na naka-dub sa wikang tagalog (regardless whether it’s super sentai, metal hero or kamen rider). summer 1988 at sa ABSCBN ito unang pinalabas, kasunod sa saturday evening timeslots ng bioman at daimos. (bioman was the last super sentai to be dubbed in english by a filipino cast; maskman was the 1st sentai to be in tagalog, followed by turborangers in 1993, fiveman in 1994, jetman i 1995 and goggle five in 1997; technically, JETMAN is the lst toku/toei super sentai show to be aired in tagalog. i just forgot bout JIBAN and MACHINE MAN kung what years ito inere sa IBC13).

we all miss dai sawamura / hiroshi tsubaraya. isa siyang icon na mananatiling buhay sa puso ng mga 1988 original shaider fans!!!
